Join us on August 10th from 11am - 1pm for a special “pot-luck” lunch in collaboration with local non-profit Grow Oak Ridge. Let’s celebrate the fruits of their 2024 Backyard and Community Garden project and discuss ways to build community health around organic vegetable gardening!
If you’re a local gardener - we invite you to bring a dish featuring something from your garden to share.
If not - please come as you are! Your insight and appetite are always welcome at the table!

Planting seeds of community health through backyard gardening
Do you want to grow your own food…but don’t know where to begin?
Local non-profit Grow Oak Ridge offers a backyard and community gardening program that gives participants all the support they need to successfully grow their own food - whether it be in their own backyard or in one of several Oak Ridge community gardens. With monthly workshops and visits from a garden coach, organic seeds and starters, tools, supplies and even help tilling if needed! - Grow Oak Ridge has helped 14 families grow 600 lbs of produce in one year alone!
