Election Day Supper Returns

Tuesday November 8th, 7:00 PM

After you’ve voted, come on over to the new United Way offices at 301 Broadway Ave. in Oak Ridge. Here, we will enjoy food and conversation as one community, committed to be stronger together, despite our differences. We will set aside our red state, blue state ideology and just be neighbors together. Come meet someone new or shake hands with a familiar face. Share a story about why you love Oak Ridge. Be part of a commitment to unity in Oak Ridge and let’s model for the rest of the nation what togetherness looks like.

We’re committed to bringing people together despite our political differences, and in fact, we believe our differences can actually benefit our community by allowing us to hear and experience perspectives that are not our own. Deep down, most of us want the same things and this table is designed to celebrate what we have common, not to stoke divisions which are at an all time high in America today.

Whether you pulled the lever for Democrats, Republicans, Independents, or a mix of them all — you are invited to the table to meet your neighbors, celebrate the right to vote, and share stories that build trust and cross divides.

We believe there is power in coming together, and with a spirit of togetherness and commitment to non-violence, we believe that no matter how far apart our views might seem, we are still ONE community… we are still each other’s neighbors.

Cast your vote and join us on November 8. The meal is free, the conversation and togetherness is priceless.

Voting Protects Democracy In Our Communities

Democracy is being able to choose our government, so whether Democrat, Republican, or Independent please make your voice known at the ballot box. If the person or party we voted for loses, Democracy enables us return the drawing board, craft better arguments for our causes, and try again. By practicing our right to vote, we are guaranteed a place at the table and a voice in the topics and issues that affect us the most. Cast your vote on November 8, then join us for a community meal and conversation about the valuable roles we all play in building a better Oak Ridge.
